The software is based around speed ratings but also includes draw analysis, trainer and jockey statistics, weight comparisons, form analysis, betting manager, horse watcher and much more. The US version also contains morning line odds and pace ratings.
The most innovative section of the software is the main screen, which contains a colour-coded graph for each race showing the progress of each horse in the race using it’s speed ratings to plot the points on the chart.
One particularly useful feature is the weight analysis for handicap races.
The theory behind weight analysis is that when two horses which have raced together previously meet again, the software will highlight today’s winner based on current weights carried, and will even suggest how many lengths the favoured horse should win by.
Another useful feature is the Horse Watcher. This allows users to manage their own lists of horses, customised with their own notes and comments. When a daily ratings file update is downloaded and installed ProForm automatically checks against the users’ own list, informing the user if any are running that day.
